Most of the gear teeth of grain processing equipment will have different degrees of wear after a period of use, and the wear can be divided into mild wear, moderate wear, severe wear, abrasive wear and corrosion wear.

Characteristics of light wear: very slow and even. After wear, the tooth surface is smooth and bright. Contact tooth surface roughness, lubricating oil viscosity, tooth surface working speed, and mismatch between workloads can all cause minor wear. All of these reasons make the tooth surface does not have enough lubricant film thickness, which leads to the tooth surface micro-bumps being ground or pressed. After the gear teeth are polished, high-viscosity lubricating oil can be used to form an appropriate lubricant film thickness, which will not affect the service life and performance of the gear in the multigrain processing equipment.

Moderate wear can be prevented by improving lubrication conditions and increasing film thickness.

Serious wear will make the tooth surface wear, tooth shape damage, shorten the service life of the gear. Serious wear is caused by poor lubrication systems and seals. Suitable sealing forms and lubrication devices can be used to increase working speed, reduce vibration load, and change gear geometry parameters, materials, accuracy and tooth surface roughness.
